What is NLP?
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) is a body of techniques developed from the very close study of the neurological mechanisms underlying the storage and processing of language and experience. Much of its focus has been in discovering the factors which comprise human excellence. It is, nevertheless, a pragmatic school of thought that provides the tools to achieve excellence in communication and change.
How is our Practitioner's Certificate course different from a traditional NLP course?
Most NLP training courses focus on techniques for personal development which can be applied in therapeutic situations. We wanted to produce a course that met the practical needs of teachers and that gave emphasis to the teaching and learning process. We want to help teachers develop resources for handling the demands of the classroom. Therefore we use materials relevant to teaching and orientate tasks and discussion to what really happens in class. Our assessment procedures also resemble those commonly used in teaching.
